Visited my BMW dealer for the launch . Not sure whether I prefer the 13 gs over the new adventure .
Offered a good price for my explorer , I will keep the tiger though . |

Picked up this beauty today from a very nice man on another Defender forum. Its a 2009 GSA with full set of panniers and extremely low mileage. Cant wait to get out on it properly...
Click image to enlarge A scary drive home as I was convinced the bike would fall off the trailer at any moment, but thankfully the straps held.... Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Now I need to find a good set of jacket/trousers that offer good protection, that also come in size 'massive'! Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

^^Nice
How does the F800 compare to an R1200GS? Is it more of a lighter trials type bike? |

The 800 is taller than the 1200 and very light weight and handles really well but its real plus is fuel consumption from the parallel twin - 65mpg without trying and 75 if you take it easy My mate has a 1200GSA and when we are out together on average he's putting in £6 more in fuel. I've got a full Remus system and K&N and reckon its not much slower than the 1200 but it doesn't have the torque of the bigger engine.
There were earlier posts about triple black models - this is the 800 version. |
