Interesting to hear Jeep's thoughts from the top man, especially if you see a direct comparison with the issues they have with a Wrangler replacement and JLR with the Defender. Not seen anyone from JLR make similar statements about the Defender: "Jeep loyalists are concerned that the 2018 Wrangler will not live up to its heritage. Jeep CEO Mike Manley seeks to dispel these fears. In an interview with Edmunds, he was clear that the brand could not compromise the Wrangler." |

I would love to hear similar statements from Land Rover.
It's sad to say but I wouldn't be terribly worried about Land Rover competing with the Wrangler. They seem to be keen to do everything possible to avoid retaining that market. I have to say I'm kind of happy someone is willing to keep to the roots of their brand and continuing an iconic product. Somewhere to go after the Defender... |
