Have you had a look in the handbook? As you've got a new vehicle and, presumably, everything works, there's probably not much to worry about. Darren

Indeed I have looked but in true JLR fashion no informative information on fuses is present

In that case, take it back to the dealer. Darren

Thank you, but a dealer visit is not an option I have available to me right now. I am a fair few hundred miles and ferry journey away from one. I guess putting a fuse in the gap is worth a try.... What's the worst that could happen? 90 & Wolf

Not much, really. If the fuse isn't needed then nothing will happen. If it is then you will have solved the problem (of the missing fuse - not necessarily the engine). Darren

A bit of digging for wiring doagrams with Google suggests that your missing fuse may be to provide power to the MAF, so it might well be the cause of your engine problems after all. Stick a 5 amp fuse in and see how it goes. Darren

![]() When the dealer checked the car for delivery, shouldn't they have felt it wasn't sounding and feeling normal? MAF has quite en impact on how smooth your engine runs... |
