Thanks.
In this instance I am replacing light bar mounted spots with an LED lamp on the roofrack - I want to break into the wiring with a waterproof plug and socket so lamp/roofrack can be removed if necessary. And in general it's good to know a supplier who has quality components rather than cheap ones. Gavin |

A marine chandlers can be excellent for sourcing top quality cable for the harshest environments. Really depends on what your plans are and where the cables are going to sit.
Personally I use Olflex Cable from Germany and available from Farnells it is suitable for just about anywhere on the Land Rover and available in different core sizes and multicore. http://uk.farnell.com/jsp/search/browse.js...tid=229326 Cable Glands don't come much better than those offered by Index Marine. Side entry ones available too. http://www.indexmarine.co.uk/deck-glands-se-series.php Cannon, amphenol and just about any connector for any purpose PEI Genesis Southampton. You will of course need the tooling to crimp the pins sockets but I can possibly help you out as you're not a million miles away. 'PM' me if you wish I may have a few bits 'n' bobs lying around, dependant on your needs. http://www.peigenesis.com/en.html If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Sorry gents I think I confused the issue by putting "wiring" in my original question - I meant wiring accessories and in this particular case an IP rated plug and socket to break into existing wiring.
