Hi all
What tyre pressures do you guys run on an unladen 90 running stock standard tyres? The manual says F/R: 2.1/2.6, but 2.1 at the front seems too low to me considering the weight of the engine, and 2.6 at the back seems too high? I am tending towards F/R: 2.3/2.5 - what do you guys think? |

Hia,
Stick to the manual directives - the tyre pressure have been worked out specifically for the tyre specification and the laden weight of the vehicle with the exception of driving in sand when they have to be deflated for grip then reinflated for road use. If you don't keep to the spec in the manual you stand the chance of rapid tyre wear! Tra-la-lu 'El Pepe Flamenco' JLS 'El Pepe Flamenco' |

I run mine at 1.9-2.0 all-round. I find it a smoother ride, not too soft, just right...
Also, i haven't noticed any uneven wear after the 65000km at that pressure. Cheers |

Thanks guys
on an unrelated note, everytime I brake, the puma pulls sharply to the left. There is less resistance in the steering wheel when turning left than when turning right. and the steering wheel's centre is to the left by about 10-20 degrees when going straight. What could be the issue there? |

Funny you mention this, after a few months driving my car I decided this weekend to check the tyres pressure and what I found is quite surprising to say the least. Apparently, from factory (or at least from delivery) the tyres pressure was 3.5/3.6 bar F/R, ie way too much compared to what the manual says! I deflated to 2.1/2.6 as per the instructions and get a much smoother ride. Why those tyres were inflated to that level is beyond me. |

No ways, that's what I found as well, spent 15 minutes just deflating them to the correct pressures! And the spare tyre was inflated to over 4.2!!! No wonder we couldn't fit the spare wheel cover at the dealership |

Hi there
According to the manual should be 2 bars (30 psi) in front and 3.1 bars (45 psi) in the rear With standard tires I use in the front the correct one, but in the rear I use 2.4 (35 psi). Less than specify the manual, but with more pressure the truck get very bumpy, in special without load. I was running mine too high. Subjectively they looked to be properly inflated (the quoted manual figures looked too soft and saggy). After 5k, however, I was wearing the middles down and not the edges. When the car was serviced, the dealer knocked the pressures back to the quoted levels and it now drives a lot better One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS
