Rear LED Work light
Finally got round to installing my small LED light bar - the 6 inch jobby, not the recently acquired 12 inch bar, to use as a rear work light. Larger one, I will find somewhere on the front for it to go.

I drilled some holes through the roof rack, although the bolts were so close to the top rails of the rack, it was a bit of a struggle to get the nuts on...fortunately, once actually on, it did ensure the nuts did not move, while I nipped the bolts up.

I didn't upload the picture head on of the light, cause it's too bright!

Your cable entry either needs sealing or a gland fitting or water will track in, it'll stop the cable chafing as well. Thumbs Up

Very nice! Good work and I bet the work area gets bathed in virtual daylight.

Had the same fitted to mine as 'driving lights' that came on with high beam. They were brilliant but sadly they didn't last very long, got condensation inside pretty quickly and led's started failing in pairs. Got a year of good life out of then though and yours is probably in a better place to avoid being plunged into muddy water than on my bumper..

Good lights though, can only imagine what it's like looking at it at night! Cheers, David

Well spotted. I was expecting someone on this forum to point it out. The hole at the moment is so small, finding a grommet is tough... I did cut one down to size, but it didn't really work. I'll be sorting something out for it soon. Right after I fix my headlight switch which fell apart today.

David - don't know what make this one is, but it's bloody heavy, I am reasonably confident it's a good one, but we'll see! Twisted Evil 1998 110 300Tdi White Hard Top

I'm afraid I don't know what make it is. I bought it from someone on this forum, who also didn't know. It is very bright and seems well built but only time will tell. This is just a. Standard 6 inch work light bar. I recently bought another 12 inch one from someone else on the forum, they are very similar. 1998 110 300Tdi White Hard Top
