Thanks Guys,
The next ones going to be another soft top, there's something about them when you can get the roof off like the top picture. Its like going back to my series days with a bit more comfort. ![]() |

Looks nice. My project90-3 was a full soft top, great fun, especially on a cold day with the back rolled up.
![]() Right royal PITA on dusty Salisbury plain though.... ![]() ![]() |

Hi To Tall
There NAS ones, but the whole lot uses Standard Genuine Reverse Light lenses instead so there clear, with LED coloured Bulbs behind, I quite like them as think they suit its Tonka style look ![]() Yes there's not many puma soft tops yet, I love 90 soft tops though so it had to be done. I was going to buy a svx before this one and am tempted again now, but these suite my needs more and there's not another one, plus the next one should be better ![]() The hoops /Cage are fantastic and I had them custom made slightly with a work light bracket and galvanised instead of powder coated. For any one interested its the same one a well known LR modifier/ seller uses on their soft top conversions, but despite this was still under 1/2 the price from the manufacturer (Purely Metal) I remember yours Jim looked great in Nato, thanks for the help you gave me when I got it with the screen rail, bit different with a series. Back rolled up in the cold is a must. You don't notice its like it with the heater on full ![]() Surprisingly to people not used to them its no colder in there than a van, in fact sometimes seems hotter Defender puma dormobile camper |

Well in the short time I've had this one Its been a real pleasure to drive.
I haven't connected with it as much as the other defenders I've owned, through no fault of its own just me wanting something else really to be honest! I'd urge anyone on here to have a soft top defender at least once, as gives them a completely different character and they are a huge amount of fun in the summer along with surprisingly not being that cold in winter (I dont think anyone can deny they look good either ![]() So much so ive got another frame ordered for my next one ready! The ebay and autotrader ads have now been placed so im hoping that soon it should be on its way to a new owner. Cheers Tom Defender puma dormobile camper |

Love the look of the soft-top Defender and if I lived in the sunny South East it might well be on my list. Somehow I don't think it will appeal to many in Somerset or the West of Scotland at the current time?

Completely agree there dont think it will go down to well at the moment!
Having said that plonk a snorkel on it it and it will be better than the Bmw convertibles/ submarines on the news! ![]() |

No real updates due to it being for sale, but still couldnt resist carpeting the rear as had some genuine material left over. Other than that gave it a polish today as the sun was out.
Although Silver doesnt show the shine as much as my black one did, it still comes up pretty well from a 3 stage clean. Other thing is it doesnt take that long in reality as theres not much to do with the hood, hense why i can normally do it weekly. Nice. You really have to wonder why Landrover does not offer soft tops in the UK...
