Headlamp Levelling Motors
Just changed my bulbs to Osram Nightbreakers, taking the opportunity to change the headlamp bezels (already rusted through after only two years) to stainless steel ones. No biggie, other than that I was obliged to remove the headlamp fixings to remove the bezel, disturbing headlamp alignment.

I intended to take the vehicle today to a local garage with a beam setter to finish the job properly, but the headlamp levelling motors no longer seem to operate.

Any clues as to what I've perhaps disturbed?

When my 2008 was purchased new, the headlamps would always come on pointing at the ground very close to the vehicle. After driving for a while the motors would operate of their own accord and raise the lightbeams up to normal levels. When the ignition was turned off the lights would go back pointing low again. The motors were changed under warranty and everything worked well after that. Nobody else seemed to have this problem but faulty motors would not be unknown. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Stating the obvious - but did you unplug/disturb the connector onto the motor?
