Sorry, not had this issue.
Did have a problem on my TD5 after I belted the centre box on a massive rock. Not only did it flatten the centre box, but the force was so great it bent the rear section and also the front down tube. My point is that you might want to check the other sections to see if they are damaged and affecting the clearances. Good luck Cheers Simon |

Does it have the standard defender engine or is is a discovery engine? In which case which pipe does it use from the turbo down pipe? (picture would be helpful) as I know some conversion kits are better than others and if its not angled properly or bodged in it can change the angle of the rest of the exhaust pipe and thus the rubbers which will lead to it banging or rubbing.
Also check the heat shield under the clutch slave as if this has rotated round or got bent could cause the same problem. |

on my old 200tdi I fitted a flexi joint in exhaust ( cut pipe then slotted flexi in they tac welded so it was in right place then removed to weld round )
you can buy just the flexi joint from most motor factors, good make are bosal ones measure pipe as they do lots of sizes made a diffrence to vibration through body |
