I have had my wheels painted black and am now looking for Black Wheel Nuts and Locks, but cant find anything ! i could buy a new set and have them powder coated black, but the only thing with that is that they may chip when taking the wheels of at some point... Anyone got any other suggestions ?
Thanks |

I used POR-15 and it did the job.

Lorryman- i actually ordered that about 20 min ago after looking at Zags corrosion thread . I thought that POR-15 was black ?
bm52- Guess i was wanting to change them cause they are rusted to he11 and throught that black would look better with having black wheels....maybe buy some new wheel nuts and coat them with ACF so they dont rust |

You can get it in Clear, Black, Silver and Grey. I used black on the wheels though the camera flash seems to have changed the colour slightly.

You don't say whether you have steel or alloy wheels, but these people do them for both types - http://www.wrington.co.uk/landrover.htm Click image to enlarge . Paul. 1989 Arles Blue 2.5TD 110 Hardtop 1999 Epsom Green Discovery II 4.0 V8i 'XS' |

PaulMc beat me to it. I've got the hand-polished Wrington ones on my black wheels. Excellent finish and have stood up to several Winters. Oily rag and they come up like new....

I'm a +1 for Wringtons, I got the stainless too, took me near 12 months to get them delivered though. Excellent quality and look brilliant on black mods.

+1 Although I think I've kind of made up my mind on ideal combination... ZU rims with 265/75/16 BFG All Terrains. Something for the summer me thinks... |

Not got any of just the wheels at the moment but i washed, waxed, and POR-15 'd her on Sat ! only took 1 snap though as we were rushing to get out the door and the misses was givin me jip Click image to enlarge Honestly i put that POR-15 even on all the screws holding the check plate on the body, rivets, rear door brackets, all door screws and it worked an absolute treat !!! GREAT stuff to use....the silver wheel nuts are kinda wearing on me after givin it a good clean, so i may get those marine spec wheel nuts that the guys posted here Cheers guys  Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |
