I used a big lump of steel bright bar as a drift with a large lump hammer so I could hit the exact sweet spot.
I had the A frame still connected and the nut still a few threads on the ball joint, with a stout piece of wood under the A frame leaving the the weight of the axle to help split the joint when bashed. Obviously before the H&S police descend, chassis firmly supported on axle stands, eye protection, wear gloves, etc. Good luck Keith |
