To be 100% honest I am not sure as I had my garage source and fit it but from the brief time I spent adjusting it it looks very similar to what I just looked up now so I suspect so but can check when there is some light as the truck is now locked away in the garage. If it's the X Eng the X will be profiled out of the protecting guard which protects the disk.

you can adjust the throw of the arm on the caliper too, plus there are different mounting holes for the cable to attach to this arm, each adjusting the amount of pull required.
when new or with new pads they do seem to take a while to settle/bed in. you say it uses the whole range of the lever, but does it hold? Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

I had both of those problems and resetting the lever cured both of them. If you download the x-eng disk brake instructions they have an explanation on how to do it.
I think basically your pads are sitting too far off the disk and your having to compensate with the cable - when really you need it to be on the arm, that way the pads can sit off the disk at rest (with no tension on the cable) - but will pull on firmer when you pull the lever. I'm happy to provide more info if needed. |
