Oil cooler. Oil system runs at higher pressure than coolant system, thus oil contamination of coolant system NOT vica versa.
Oil temperature higher than coolant thus temperature gauge shows higher temperature as it is reading oil not coolant temperature. LANDYWATCH Neighbourhood Watch for Land Rover Owners http://www.landywatch.co.uk/smf2/index.php |

Truck dealers use liquid washing cleaner like Persil or liquid Fairy in water. For a Defender i would use 250ml three times or untill the water is clean then flush out and add anti-freeze. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

I have used fairy, persil washing LIQUID, (not powder) to clean water system and it works well. Just keep doing it until clear.

I'm talking about washing liquid for clothes, just to be clear not the stuff for plates etc.
