no there's nothing along the top of the sills, it's on the bottom of the door. However the early type seals are just an L shaped bit of rubber, they're rubbish. There is an upgrade to the final spec lower seals which are actual seals.
As for after market upper seals. I can say this, i bought some Britpart outer window scraper seals. The rear door ones were a perfect fit, the front ones were terrible. I ended up binning the front ones and replacing them with genuine. So you never know, after market might be great, they might be terrible. |

Cheers so there is meant to be a slight 5mm gap running along between top of sill and car body . Looks like on mine the remains of some foam but most has come out.

6 months ago I opted to replace all of my door seals (the main ones that run around the seam on the inside of the door shuts). Upon delivery it was found that they were complete rubbish and didn't even have the 90 degree corners formed correctly. They were genuine LR and something around £60 a piece. They were returned.
Whatever you buy, make sure you check them before you start fitting them. |

I bought mine around this time last year from one of the forums sponsors, Duckworth Parts, they were genuine and streaks ahead of any of the copycat ones. Last year they were doing a deal on them but to be honest they're worth paying the price as they work
