Ive cracked it the "Caterham Defender Maintaince Shedule" This will be a world beater
Here is whats needed to take part and keep your car running healthy if you hummm, drive a little on the gentle side lets say and have a fear of anything that is in perfect working order lol 1: Standing order at the IRB Developements test centre, unsing Ian him self as the driver. 2: Standing order at Tesco's for Hobnobs as Ian can not drive without them. Some say! when Ian has children they will come out attached to a packet of Hobnobs instead of a baby placenta hehe. 3: A hoover as Hobnobs can crumble a little while driving sometimes and we would hate to find out that those pesky crumbs have caused the Defender to run incorrectly just two weeks after it was running soooo good. 4: A blindfold so you can not see the crumbs landing on your carpet as it may make you think the car has a problem in the future 5: Some earmuffs as you really do not want to hear from the engine what Ian the Hobnob master is going to do with it lol. Job done. This will for sure keep you Defender in perfect working order, just remember to throw a signed blank check at the Ian once in a while so he can buy some parts for your car every now and then to give the needed placebo effect that it infact did need fixing and you were right all along Sorry, I couldn not resist. Kind Regards and said in Jest wishes Pete Last edited by bell-auto-services on 9th Feb 2014 10:04pm. Edited 4 times in total |

Really!!!!!!!! Im sorry Caterham,, take your car away and have it fixed elsewhere, Hobnobs are a staple at the IRB Test centre they actually come before money, and without them he can not work effectivly. This Ian's main cause for needing them and is for sure now hobnobbled by them lol |

Damn......know all about pesky crumbs having 2 children.....
Mind you I prefer crumbs to fish and chips!! Which is what I thought Ian lived on. Lol... I can take all these jokes no problem...after all it would appear defender ownership is one big joke from what I can tell? lol |

For the sake of all our sanity I sincerely hope you really do finally get it sorted too

well, well, well......
turns out the turbo is shagged I suspect / hope there'll be one or two 'doubters' that may put their hands up and apologise over my in ability to differentiate between it working and not...... there's two people that spring to mind......SWMBO and the local LR dealership who had the best part of 3 years, numerous, visits, warranty work etc and still couldn't find the problem (I wonder what chance I have of getting this fixed FOC bearing in mind warranty expired last October) |

What is wrong with the turbo ? Sticking VGT from carbon build up ? Or is it the actuator its self.
Pete. |
