Actually ROW spec sounds about right to be honest... LR carried on making ROW spec 300Tdi's years after the introduction of the Td5. They were using the new Td5 dash binnacle in the ROW specs, and this one has the Td5 binnacle and a 300Tdi engine..... Seems ROW spec to me! An engine to TDi for!

Withams had some similar vehicles for sale recently from MOD Core Plant. All late model 300tdi`s but with digital speedos as per later TD5 so this might well be one of those! There was a mix of ones with very little use and others that had been run into the ground/cannibalised.

Did ROW spec late model 300s not still have the entire TD5dash? I know the instrument panel was TD5 but it would seem stupid to me continuing go build Defenders with the old dash layout just because they are 300tdi... 1998 110 300Tdi White Hard Top

It wasn't until 2002 that the td5 got the newer centre dash.

As a confirmation.

Yup, I'd heard about 300s up until 2006, and correct as most know, the TD5 revised dashboard was 2002ish, but why on earth Land Rover would carry on making the old style dash in 300s for ROW after the TD5 had got it is beyond me...although I'm guessing old stock probably had something to o with it... 1998 110 300Tdi White Hard Top

I'm sure I've seen a ROW dash with the later push-button center console in it. although this could have been a rebuild, but i'm sure it was original.

I thought I'd seen a ROW 300 built late on with the centre console too... given this is a "2004" model, perhaps LR kept hold of it for a couple of years before it was actually registered anywhere. 1998 110 300Tdi White Hard Top

The other thing to note, is that the Speedo is in MPH... with the exception of a very few countries, most ROWs I would think require KM/H 1998 110 300Tdi White Hard Top
