An additional door switch would be easy... so if any one opens the upper or lower tailgate it would trigger the alarm. You only need to run one wire for this - which can be picked up from in the roof harness or similar.
Also means you won't set the alarm off if you have dogs etc in the back. Thanks Ian, that is a much simpler idea and worth doing
I had considered that but a switch alone wouldn't be enough if someone wanted to smash the glass and reach in to grab any goodies lying around. However, keeping a dog, particularly a psychopathic breed with big teeth permanently in the pickup would be a great idea. 2015 90 XS CSW TDCi - Beautiful 2007 110 XS DCPU - An itch that needed scratching 2005 90 Td5 XS CSW - Utterly brilliant 2001 Discovery 2 ES Auto - A phase I went through 1996 90 Tdi CSW - Uber reliable 1989 90 2.5 Petrol Hardtop - My first proper Landy 1985 Range Rover Vogue V8 -Troublesome |

Fit both but in line switch the sensor. (Must be hidden perhaps in the cab)
That way up you can turn it off if need be. I have thought about it with my dogs but it's quite a little job cable routing and hiding everything. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |
