Scotland 2006 Defender 90 Td5 XS CSW Bonatti Grey
Some questions before I buy
Okay, Im going to be buying my first defender soon and hoping for a new or nearly new 90 SW.

Just a couple of questions to start with

Ive read a lot of posts mentioning BAS Remap........what is this? Is it necessary?

Fuel Consumption - How many miles do you get from the 60 litre tank, i will be using it for general driving on good A roads and motorways (though I will be joining a club and doing some light offroad)

Do you dealer service every 6 months?

Probably the first of many questions over the next few weeks........so bear with me!

Just another question...

was in my local showroom and was discussing a Black 90 sw County they had, it was priced at £24 500 otr and without any prompting the dealer offered me a reduction of £1000.
What is a realistic price I could get the dealer to for this model and what extras do u think I could secure?

dealer will have min 2-3% to play with.

BAS remap - not necessary but nice to have, get a 90 and try it and see how you go. its there as an option.

90 mpg - there are some threads on here about them

my 110 does 28-29mpg on A road runs. Cheers

BAS remap is something to consider for the future. You certainly don't need it to start with. Buy it, get used to it, decide where you need to spend your money.

MPG: you'll probably get somewhere between 24-28 mpg. I'm at the lower end but I do quite a few short journeys. I get around 330m out of a tank before I chicken out and fill up (probably could get 350). One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS
