I took the dashboard out around it on a TD5 (bless Defenders). Hopefully a newer one isn't much harder.

if it helps you, halfords will (if you ask correctly) let you use their keys (make them think you want to see the connections on the rear to help you buy something from them)
or you can buy them for like 3-5, they're usually open til 8 or later Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

Well I couldn't get to Halfords today as Chipnum was closed due to a big accident, so i made 2 x removal tools from a wire coat hanger....Pioneer fitted and firmware updated

You can remove the whole centre panel (the bit with all the switches and clock on)
Just need the right torx head and then use a large flathead screwdriver to pry it forwards at the edges, not too hard. You can then push in the bits that hold the radio into the cage manually Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |
