From memory I'm sure I've fitted speakers upto 63mm deep in a puma without issues, without spacers if that helps

The passenger side is the tighter side iirc, I'd have gone a size up and used rings except I don't like the sticking out look. Prefer it more flush.
Could cut it but it needs to be done carefully so I haven't tried that for now. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ªðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸â›½ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°ðŸ’ª |

Are you on about the depth or the hole left, if it's the latter the Focals are 100mm

10cm is fine then, it's depth that's a little bit of an issue there but I'd say it would be fine. 10cm is a straight swap but larger sized speakers you need to watch the size of the magnet. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Cheers.
Now onto the sub..... If I use a pre-amped unit under seat jobbie, what do I need to hook up to the head unit. Will I need an ignition live to run it. Cheers... |

From the HU there will be a 12v blue wire (likely a wire tail) for turning on the Amp, other than that from the HU you'll need RCA audio cables which carry the audio signal.
So; Direct battery power feed (appropriately fused near the battery) Negative shorter than the power feed is recommended to a good chassis earthing point. (Both negative and positive Los need to be the appropriate gauge for the power of the Amp, kits are also availabl. Some 1mm blue wire at the required length for the remote turn on, approx 1mm dis as it carrys no load, you can fully insulated crimp this to join or solder. What ever you do remember its live and must be insulated. Then that just leaves the RCA phono cables again at the length required. For an active sub this is all you need. Kits are available but get good quality, I built my own up to make sure it is. Quality power cable alone can be £5 - £10 a meter. I'd recommend Auotleads profoex 8gauge for most active subs power, but please check its suitable for the wattage. I have 4 gauge Proflex on mine which is larger but would be overkill for what you want, I'd go 8. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ªðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸â›½ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°ðŸ’ª |

Focal's still not arrive and talking to the eldest, (who has put more amps and speakers in his cars than Motorhead use on stage) recalls he has an underseat Alpine jobbie somewhere.
Finds the sub and off we go.. First hurdle was removing the trim from the HU....hmmmmm. Thought that was going to end in pieces, then dash out and low and behold found the mic lead not plugged in... Anyhows well on with it, just 70mph gusts and horizontal rain has stopped play for a bit.
