this seemed like a silly question until i realised your location, im surprised the poppy hasn't migrated by now though it was after all massively influenced by the WORLD war. but at least we have the internet now

I remember once getting the French equivalent. It was a cornflower but made in the colours of the tricoleur and was very pretty. It did get me thinking what other countries use to remember the fallen.
