I understood that the dealers all got a regular allocation of vouchers - I've never struggled to get hold of them when I wanted to try a new vehicle.
Surprised to hear dealer didn't give you one there and then rather than fob you off with saying LR would send one out. I'd ring dealership back up and ask to speak to saleman again, if he's not instantly available just escalate up the chain and explain you've bought a vehicle from them and are looking for an Experience voucher. Should really be that simple... Should add the voucher is only for a few hours/half day and not a full day. Usually combines some on road driving and then some off roading. |

Thanks for the advice guys.
Was not impressed with the dealer at any stage really. Does not surprise me that I cant get hold of the sales man and that they appear to have fobbed me off with the voucher. Always felt like I was buying double glazing when ever I had to deal with them. I will try to phone one more time then esculate as you advised. Thanks again |

The dealers don't get the vouchers anymore, LR distribute them.

Well that's a change in the last 9 months then; and I guess you're now in the right Forum to get it put right direct

As above we (the dealers) no longer issue the vouchers.
The theory is they will come direct from Land Rover, as we understand fairly soon after collection. Have you spoken directly to the Sales Manager you met? He should be able to arrange something directly with your local Experience site. |

Are these LR Experience days an activity limited to the UK? Never heard a word about that from my dealers here, and not from Land Rover Switzerland either. Would love to pay a visit to Solihull plant while the current Defender is still in production there. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Just out of interest -- are the LRE vouchers given out just to the lucky people who buy new, or are they for them as buy second hand as well? I'm guessing you have to make it explicitly part of the deal. 2009 110 XS Station Wagon

You buy 2nd hand from the dealer, not LR, so no automatic voucher. I suspect if you rang customer relations and asked nicely you'd get a voucher. My Disco 'best bits'

Hi, did you buy through the forces discount scheme? An awesome scheme for getting a cheaper Land Rover (one of the few perks for todays armed forces) the only downside being the dealers only make about £0.50 on the vehicle so are very reluctant to offer any freebies!
It might be a bit of a journey, but Roger Youngs are BOB ON and love Skimmers, Sun Dodgers and Airy Fairies! You only have one life, live it....forget the cost. 90XS Hardtop |

It's not a freebie to be bargained over as such, but part of buying a new LR...I took delivery of mine on 3rd Sep and got the letter from Land Rover Experience on 27th September. All it you get is a USB with a 3 minute advert on it which shows a number to ring and book your 1/2 day on it..number is on LR website as pointed out above. Phone them, book your 1/2 day and go for it!

Did LR explain to the deakers why they made this change? Seems a backwards step to me, especially from your viewpoint, where building goodwill and a relationship with a new or potential customer can only be a benefit to you. |
