Radiator choice
I have a 1987 LR90 and the radiator is starting to leak, over the weekend it had a run out on the motorway. ok 50-55mph but when i pushed it to 60 the needle went up very close to the red. It doesn't usually do this, sits just below halfway at any speed (doesn't really go above 65 to be honest)
Decided to change the rad as its old and leaking.
Original engine was a 2.5 petrol but it now has a 200 tdi Disco engine.
My question is, do i buy a Rad for the tdi? if so will it fit where the old radiator comes out?
What is a half decent rad to buy?

A 200 TDI radiator fits in a cradle with the intercooler on one side, so if you have not got the radiator cradle fitted when you swapped the engine you may have problems with a 200TDi rad

Thanks Gilarion, think it is a 200tdi one then, attached some pics
So, is it a 200tdi defender or Disco rad, or the same thing?

Yes.

Could I recommend to you that you obtain a cowl for the fan as at the moment with having it cut away the cooling effect of drawn air through the rad fins will not be as good. Cowls come up regularly on eBay for about £30.00 or less For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Thanks for the advice, i was looking at an electric one on the back of the Rad but they seem to be about £200, the cowl sounds an ideal alternative Thumbs Up
