Increased torque & OE drive shafts
I'm considering a mild re-map to increase torque. How much can the OE driveshaft take above the standard Puma amount?

If I decide on a stronger shaft, what is there available at moderate cost? Also what time labour would a garage need to swap the new & old? Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a lot - even a change to more “grippy” tyres as I did for Winter conditions in Bosnia (I was fed up with Polos and Citroens on skinny little tyres zooming past me while I was struggling with snow chains) can cause problems. Fair to say though, that even though the rears on my TD5 got replaced so frequently that they could almost change themselves, I haven’t (yet) had one fail on my TDCi.

Are they more problematical to replace than the older type, which can be done in no time at all?
