As guessed by the title my missus is somewhat P'd off with the time i spend on " that
 forum " Every time i pick up my iphone then the verbals begin . What am i writing about ? Who are these people ? Its taking over your life ? How much have you spent this time ? She says its like im having an affair and she's paying the price . Well even as we enjoy our October holiday in sunny Blackpool what does she expect i do as she watches the BBC news ? Are you spending too much time replying to topics ? Should you be doing the dinner , dishes or fixing that shelf ? Iv explained that the forum is an informative , friendly and safe place for me to be . Hmmm , all i hear is ..........ffffff , huff , grumble . You could point out that something like 95+% of users on here are of the male gender so on that front fairly safe!

You could always tell her the forum has saved you time and money by reading, asking, learning all about the Defender, what to do, not do and which products etc are the best value and useful.
As you indicated the forums has been invaluable to me and now that my wife has seen the proof and met a few members on this and other forums she agrees with me.....but still smiles and has a chuckle at me using these forums. But she also knows that they have saved the £'s and helped me and indirectly her. She just needs to be educated in the worth of the forum  BM52 |

I do all the work on our vehicles (she has a Discovery) so forums are a very valuable source of information which means we can then save money on repairs
 . She is VERY understanding though- tonight I had to ask if I could borrow her top of the range shiney clean Discovery for tomorrow (as I am still waiting for trailing arms for my Defender). So while trucking over Strata Florida VeeTee will be bouncing about in his Defender while I will be enjoying air sprung full leather climate control ....... I was left with one sentence:
'You break it- you fix it'
Next time she has a winge- look up and say 'Yes dear I would love a beer/ whisky/ tea/ coffee/ sandwich'. Glyn   |

I wear the trousers in my house, my rules, she can fit in or feck off Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant. |
