I have to agree with this. I don't understand why do many folks put up with selfish, ignorant women who can't even respect their partners hobbies. Nobody is asking them to take part, pay for it or anything like that but they just moan and moan and want you to pack it all in and "be normal". that. I am who I am and no woman has managed to change me yet! My Mrs is actually on most of the forums I'm on and even has her own IIA, I think I converted her hehehe! 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

It mostly certainly isn't!! I don't go in for impatient double tapping on the iPad unlike some I could name. And the reason I don't use my own login is it is far easier to correct his spelling mistakes. But I do usually identify myself and rarely pretend to be the grumpy one. Barbara |

Mine whinges a bit. but I try to self police and cut back on the amount of forums I go onto.
this one is the main LR one, with LR scene the second, joint with the D-90 one. couple of MB Gwagon ones and a few overland is enough for me. I pruned a load of logins I had a year or two agon, and deleted all my user accounts. Funnily enough, the tw@ts on Landyzone were the only ones I had problems with, instead of help I just got a gob load of abuse; still, shows the mentality of the children on there |

The other 1/2 does moan a bit but then enjoys going out in LR products. I get more grief for mailing/texting friends who have LR's all the time. It's a sort of standing joke in this house about it. 110 D250 SE HT

I get ribbed for texting a friend a lot... SWMBO calls him my other lover.
Can't imagine who that would be, Mark, can you? |

Fortunately my girlfriend is patient, and she knew about my hobbies before we started going out. The rule is:
Spend quality time with her, spend time doing house jobs = spannering time without being under a cloud. That simple. Easy to write, hard follow, especially with work being what it is, but the only way it works. As for being on the forum itself, I have a new rule: Forum time < Spannering time. It's very tempting to sit in front of the gogglebox whilst she's watching some terrible 'right on' BBC programme and surf the forums on my tablet, especially now the nights are cold and dark!
