I then connected up both of the cross overs and fitted them securely in position. Next I fitted the facia bezel thing and the HU cage ready for the moment of truth. I connected up the HU and turned the power on.
Click image to enlarge I put in a CD and amazingly sound came out of all 4 speakers! I was quite surprised that it worked perfectly first time, but there you go No photos of me dancing around the Landy like a lunatic to Ian Dury And The Blockheads unfortunately, but maybe that's not a bad thing. Click image to enlarge And it sounds great! It was definitely with going for the 5" components I reckon I just need to decide on the display colour and I'll be done............for now The help and advice I've received off this forum has been fantastic I probably wouldn't have attempted this by myself without it, but so glad I did. It's been really rewarding and I actually enjoyed doing it. Special thanks to barbel jim and custom steve for their time and help via PM Now then, how about a sub? |

This is a really helpful thread, as I have just bought a TD5, which has also never had a stereo in it, so also has the big "cubby hole" where the HU needs to go.
Can you tell me where you bought the "facia bezel" - did you have to go to Land Rover or did you manage to find an aftermarket one?? Thanks |

Hi CEEGEE, I got mine off eBay in the end as there happened to be one going when I looked. But if you search the web there are a few different places selling them. Make sure you get the 2 x wire retaining clips with it aswell
I'm glad you found this thread useful As you can see, there's people on here who are more than happy to help with any questions you have. I found this a massive help. I was very wary of cutting the dash and stuff but the people on here guided me through it with some great advice and tips. Any questions, just ask |
