Anyway, cutting the tweeter holes in the top of the dash went easier than I thought. Using Jim's method (earlier in this thread) I 'hand cut' the foam before using the 45mm hole saw on the metal. Mine was pretty blunt but went through with a bit of persuasion. A little bit of filing to straighten the holes up and they were good enough

I then connected up both of the cross overs and fitted them securely in position. Next I fitted the facia bezel thing and the HU cage ready for the moment of truth. I connected up the HU and turned the power on.

It was definitely with going for the 5" components I reckon ![]() I just need to decide on the display colour and I'll be done............for now ![]() The help and advice I've received off this forum has been fantastic ![]() ![]() ![]() Now then, how about a sub? ![]() ![]() |

This is a really helpful thread, as I have just bought a TD5, which has also never had a stereo in it, so also has the big "cubby hole" where the HU needs to go.
Can you tell me where you bought the "facia bezel" - did you have to go to Land Rover or did you manage to find an aftermarket one?? Thanks |

Hi CEEGEE, I got mine off eBay in the end as there happened to be one going when I looked. But if you search the web there are a few different places selling them. Make sure you get the 2 x wire retaining clips with it aswell
![]() I'm glad you found this thread useful ![]() ![]() |
