5 days old and I'm already on my first warranty claim
Nearside rear passenger seat folded down but won't fold back up The other side works ok so it's not me being silly. Sounds like a dodgy mech, would usually just sort it but it's under warranty so back to the dealers it goes. |

Niggly things like that can take the shine off a new toy. I'd be more than niggled as there is no longer a LR dealer within 40/50 miles from me. Steve.

Yeah, its happened on the first day and I got it to go back up however when I did it again it didn't do it.
Would be annoying if it happened anywhere i needed 5 seats as well. |

hope they sort it without any fuss.
I can confidently say mines all good (did have all the seat frames replaced so that might be why I'm not having any problems with the seats?) I hope you're enjoying all the same? I think I now know why they come with a 3 year warranty. it takes that long to sort it all out I have to say I only got 50 yards from the dealers and should have guessed I was in for trouble when it started kangarooing hopefully this will prove to be your first and only problem. If the back refuses to go up it can be down to the grub screw on the latch inside the seat coming loose - can be got at once the plastic trim is removed. Steve.

Is it the whole seat that won't go back up or is it just the back part? If its the back part then push the grab handle down. When you pull it up to move the back rest down it doesn't always spring back to neutral position.

Its the seat back, gets to about 30 degress from flat then stops. I'll give it another whirl when I get home.

Ok, pull the lever up to lower the backrest. Lift the loop handle to swivel the full seat forward. Make sure nothing is blocking it returning. Swivel the full seat back and using a little force try and push the seat into its mounting locks. Get hold of the loop handle and push it down. You should then be able to move the backrest back into position.
It is a very common fault and whilst you can take it back for warranty work it is a lot less hassle to understand what the problem is for when it happens the other side. I hadn't a clue until I read about it on this forum. |

It was the handle at the back. Wasn't returning down when the seat base was pushed home. Pushed it down and it's all ok. Result as the dealer is a bit of a mission away.

Good news, after reading this thread i had a good look around mine and the seat base wasn't locking down completly due to a stray bit of plastic from somewhere.
Seat works fine for now Just got to find where the plastic came from now! Shep A man with no boat is a prisoner |
