Radio signal/interferance
The other weekend I cleaned up the aerial (non DAB) on the 110 (TD5 with a metal wire aerial with a coil in the middle) and painted it up.

Now the signal quality is not as good as it was. If I touch the aerial the signal improves and when I let go, it drops off.
I have checked the connection at the back of the radio and that's OK. Bad earth, damaged aerial or other? 1999 Defender TD5 110

I'd check all connections, if it still does it then try replacing it. Thumbs Up $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

United Kingdom 2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Firenze Red
Have the same problem with my TDCI at the mo - the original arial became rusty so have tried to repaced it with a few new ones but all of them have had some interferance and poor reception.
I've gone so far as buying an actual landorver one recently and although better - still not as good as the first one!
I've even ran cables up from the chassis to 'ground' the base but that was not a sucess at all - made it worse
any ideas? Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html
