While the dealer has been waiting for parts to fix the leaking back axle etc., etc., I sent the service dept manager an e-mail eplaining that I'd like the sump replaced with the modified version, yada yada yada. I just found a message on my answerphone saying that as the original sump isn't damaged or leaking they won't replace. The Censored can be such hard work over the smallest things at times Rolling Eyes

Seems that way. At this rate I might as well just buy one and fit it myself.

It never fails to amaze me how they fail to credit their customers with any sense or knowledge and will puff and blow about replacing bits worth only a few quid and which only take a short time to do yet will agree to replace a whole transmission in the blink of an eye.

Oh yeah - they get more £££ for the bigger jobs Rolling Eyes

I now have a new sump and fresh oil etc free, gratis and for nothing ...although I did compromise and agree to pay half the labour charges.

Just got mine back from the first service and the dealer has changed the sump. Didn't even ask to get it changed as I thought that no way would they change it as its not marked.
Think it just depends what dealer you use, took it to the dealer who helped me with my fuel problems as they seem pretty well clued up on what's what and seem to give good customer service and take an interest.
