As far as I know, all the current Defender line-up is "N1" and therefore the answer to your question is that it does apply.
No doubt someone with one will be along in a minute to correct me if this is wrong! |

Thanks BW, is this written anywhere? I am coming back to UK next week for good and will need to tax the Defender but I cannot find anything written (to wave at DVLA clerk) when I tax the thing and they aske for £460!

If it's UK registered, the V5C should show the tax class as "N1" ie light commercial.

Hi, I've a 2012 reg 110 Utility and can confirm the duty is only £220.00/year as said above your V5 would have to show N1

Think I have the answer now thanks. I was concerned as mine is a SW. I have never had a V5 and wont have one until I register the vehicle back in the UK. |
