Wheel spacer, rear door??

Is there a spacer that allows Boost alloys to be mounted to the rear door spare wheel holder,I got slightly longer wheel nuts which I (stupidly) thought were for that purpose,but they are to long, standard wheel nuts also dont work leaving the wheel to wobble about on the mount. So wot the f*k else do I need to buy/make, ARGHH??.........lol?

Have you got the old type 3 prong wheel carrier? if so, there should be a normal "steel wheel" nut on the inside, then a large diamater hex half nut, which you can adjust in and out (and lock it against the steel wheel nut), then fit the wheel, then the alloy wheel nut.

Large thin nuts are available (at a guess 40mm across flats and about 4-6mm thick).

However depending on amount of space at the back of the wheel you could try standard steel wheel nuts and see if they work.

If you need the thin nuts thy are a few quid each. If you need those and can not locate them easily drop me a pm as I can always get some from Safari Equip the next time I go pass their place.

Thanks chaps,the standard wheel nut (for steel wheels) is too small for the larger diameter hole (29mm) on LR Boosts (thats why LR rob you for £10+vat for a special alloy wheel nut) so will just damage the wheel,if I can't find some big washers to pack out the nuts I'll make/borrow

somethin from work next week,just boils mi pi55 when yet another"simple" job ain't simple.
P.s it's the later "style" wheel holder (MY06).

Alloy wheels = alloy nuts. all round, carrier included.

The alloy wheel nut's I have run out of thread leaving the wheel loose on the carrier.
I have the normal alloy wheel nut (as fitted to the hub) and was also given slightly longer nuts,which begs the question,what are the longer nuts for??

The alloy nuts are used to secure an alloy wheel to the wheel carrier, but on the carrier, behind the wheel should be large hexagonal threaded washers that can be adjusted in or out to take account of different tyre widths so that the wheel/tyre does not rub the rear door or foul the rear window wiper if fitted.
