A true traditionalist Smile

Crystals might look too modern on (say) a Series, but on any later vehicle they don't look too obviously contemporary.

LED headlamps don't take my fancy for cost or appearance, but my Wipacs (apart from the initial shock of seeing the bulb) blend in. Bulbs with dark tips don't look right, one reason I went for Phillips which have silver tips. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

puts you into the comfortable position to get loads of cheap used replacements, in case you damage yours.

Have Crystals fitted (bought from Paddock) + uprated bulbs, and very pleased with the set-up.
However, I will be driving to Bellagio, in Italy, later in the year.
Any ideas on how to correctly 'blank' them for driving on the wrong side? '57 Defender 110 XS Station Wagon 2.4tdci

Are they with or without 'pilot light'?
(What is a pilot light, by the way?)
A tenners not too much for a viable plan B, so I'm up for it.

A sort of sidelight that is separate to the H4 bulb. Usually around 5w IIRC. And work in the same way as actual side lights but actually mounted in the headlight bowl.
(You don't want them at all! Look awful and won't suit either.)

Sorry for late the reply! They have a pilot light which you can either use or not bother and wire it to come on as you see fit. Its a small push fit 5w bulb. Back yo UK first week of August and will take 10 mins to swop them over.
