Over reving when changeling gear
Seems I've got a wearied thing happening when I chage gears
Push in clutch , take foot of accelerator ,
Revs don't drop off for a few seconds a short delay in rev drop before gear change
More noticable in lower gears
I changed the sensor on the clutch system under the bonnet
Didn't make any difference

If you sit stationary and rev up without having it in gear and then take your foot off the accelerator does the same thing happen? Defender 90 XS TD5 (03 Reg)

Isn't this the 'check your brake light fuse' thing that confuses the **** out of everyone? Cheers, David

More checks over reving
I've checked a few things
1 it does rev normally when in neutral or in gear with clutch in
2 all fuses seem to be good but ill double check in the mornin
3 my Landy guys told me maybe the fuel sensor on the clutch ( it's near the clutch fluid filler ) so I changed it for a new one , fitted It rebled clutch , but still the same , seems to be more noticeable in 1st 2nd and 3 rd gear when you press in clutch and take your foot off accelerator it gild rev high for about 2-3 second before decelarating

anti-stall is part of the standard ecu map, i guess it really depends on how pronounced the revs are when you change gear. i can run up a hill in 1st or 2nd and the engine keeps the power on without any pressure on the accelerator, you can feel the engine "take control" - that's the anti-stall.

Vehicle revs high when changing gear
My Defender been doing this sometime now, just seems worst lately, been advised to unplug 'over rev sensor' located under bonnet next to brake servo? Can't seem to locate. Can anyone advise please.
