South Africa 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Alpine White
TRAILER DIRECTION INDICATOR
The trailer direction indicator light on the dash flashes momentarily when indicators are switched on and when hazards are switched BUT there is no trailer hitched. Any idea why?

"The indicator is doing a self test checking for a trailer and as not attached will compensate"

Thanks for your reply; thankfully nothing to worry about, but this being my first Defender I'm still very wary of something going wrong!! Been a Japanese 4x4 owner for many, many years, but have always yearned for a defender. Now I have one and am enjoying every minute. Like a kid with a new toy.
