De-catting a TD5
I had my 110 serviced today and whilst it was there I also had a non-cat down pipe fitted. I've just used a standard pre-'02 down pipe, which I bought from Defenderbits for about £65, and I'm pleasantly surprised at the difference it's made. There's a bit more grunt at the bottom of the rev range, presumably because there's less resistance to the turbo spooling up. It'll be interesting to see what it does to fuel economy but from a drivability view point it's very worth while. Darren

+1 for the de-cat pipe Thumbs Up

First think I do on any td5, de-cat pipe and remove the EGR

Very much plus 1 from me as well, that was one of the best things I've done to mine plus the passenger seat box doesn't roast the passenger when towing heavy loads up long hills Thumbs Up

Yeah, I've noticed that you can here the turbo more. Not unpleasant Smile Darren
