Momentary Hiccup
Hi all,

I'm heading down to Landrauvergne soon and have noticed an occasional hiccup from the engine.

Thought I'd ask on here before I plug it in at dealers, to see if anyone has ideas/comments or noticed the same?

It's a 2.2 with approx 4.5k on it and hiccup only just started in last month.

Symptoms:
Normally 3rd or 4th gear, around 3-4k, either backing off and re-accelerating or rarely after changing up and continuing to accelerate after releasing clutch, or rarely changing down and accelerating again.
It's like a brief hiccup, then the engine continues pulling.....Maybe 1 sec of power loss but noticeable.

Does not happen under constant load so far.

No other symptoms.

2nd QUESTION!!!
Blooming transfer box lever is constantly moving itself slightly to the left, somewhat towards diff lock side! Have to pull it back to the right a bit all the time......does anyone else have same prob?Question

Cheers all,

Shocked

Those holes were perfect!

Nah, noticed it 2 times in the weeks before we fitted the RAI....

Will ask dealer to plug it in when I get back from sunny Aberdeen next week.

My 2.4 was doing something like this, most noticeable when changing up. Ease off the power to change gear, reapply power and there'd be a noticable hiccup. Unfortunately no faults were being logged at all.

Latest remap from Pete at BAS made the problem go away, and replaced my frown with a big grin!

dunno what happened there?

anyway, I get the same thing on the 2.2 and it's only done 1000 miles.
Be cruising along and all of a sudden, the power will disappear for a fraction of a second and then it's back again.

I'm coming to the opinion that they haven't quite got the ECU sorted very well.

I also find it a pain in the a**e to drive at slow speeds as it sounds like it's gonna spit the gearbox out if you're crawling along in traffic and constantly changing between 1st and 2nd and back again Mad .
My TD5 is much better from that perspective....

Mine has the same feature, 1200 miles on the clock and started a couple of weeks ago.

Maybe Q225 is an ecu upgrade with a fix, if we can ever find out what Q225 is Laughing

Cheers all,

Blackwolf - sounds exactly the same.

Dealers point blank denied there were any software updates.

It seems wierd it has only just started....

I suspect it may not show up when plugged in?

PM Mike in the LR customer relations section your chassis number, he can check if there are outstanding ECU upgrades for you Thumbs Up

He checked mine today and it is at the latest version. Q225 applies to 2012 models so that may need applying ?

If I can get a consistent set of circumstances when the problem occurs I will take it into the dealer so I can show them the problem, until then I will live with it.

Interesting to hear that my '12 is not the only to1 to be affected.
Apparently my truck is not affected by the q225 update either...
