thanks for the idea, but that can't happen, I need to lower it.
I don't really want to put smaller wheels on, otherwise I will end up with 9 235/85/16's I need to just change the rear springs but I need to know where I can get some from.. |

Go to a lower profile tyre or fit TD5 90 Springs? 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

I would imagine that the main problem is you ( and I for that matter) have boost tire and rim set up whereas the steel units lower the height a bit, usually under the 2m mark. That might be an option, I have seen some, well one, with a lower profile tire on it. It looks, ok, only ok, and really, we are driving ours mainly on road so a lower profile wont make too much of a difference in what we are using our trucks for.
One thing that you will find comfort in is that here, when a sign says 2.05m high, it really is and we have trucks that are 2.025m high so we fit barely. Oh the joys of living in a country where most parking is underground...now if I could just find where they hide all the gold... 2008 Defender 110 60 year Edition (sold unfortunately) IN the hunt for another Puma for the wifey! 2008 Kia Sorento LX 😁 2.5crdi |

JT - I have just bought an ICE edition with the updated Boost alloys like on the 60th's, I really don't want to loose these.
I was recently at a land rover garage at Gland, there was a guy there from Geneva who was had 2 sets of rear springs, a city set and a safari set, the city set dropped his ride height by 6cm - I did not need them at the time but now I need to contact him ! It's a strange thing, my 2003 td5 has boost alloys and it fits in the garage fine, but the puma has the same size alloys and tyres but does not unless i put some weight in the rear, so initially I did not think I would have a problem. it may be the td5 has a tow bar and has dropped over the years ? |
