The wing tanks add about 30 litres or about 150+miles in range. However if you have an early TD4 need to check chassis number. They are about £260-270. I can not give advice on altering roll cages, but for people skilled in the art with a welding torch should be possible.


If going to Spain the Pyrenees are great and are readily accessible. Also consider northern Portugal. Many people consider Spain as a country to get through as fast as possible enroute to Morocco. Well worth a visit. Easter time can be great with many festivals going on.

+1 on the ferries to the northern spanish ports.

Done several trips there in a Land Rover and all have been very enjoyable. You don't have to blast south for a good time, turn right from the ports and head into the Picos de Europa and onto the Green Coast for some really stunning scenery and some of the best seafood in the world.
