Probably easiest to take the trim panels off - to fix ply to them, you'd have to drill holes or use adhesive - both damaging. My blog - www.anacreinhampshire.blogspot.co.uk

perhaps you could try sticky back velcro or the likes of the really sticky numberplate double sided tape or the other way is drilling and self tapping CSK Automotive

Dont think sticky tape will hold up to the job
I think my best bet is to made up an internal frame of metal angle which I will weld up & then bolt it in through the wheel arches. The wooden interior will then be attached to that Chris 2008 XS 110 2.4 Utility. Tonga Green 1953 Series 1 for restoration 1983 Mini Mayfair 2004 VW T5 Camper 2008 Diahatsu Sirion. Hi when I did mine I removed all of the mouldings so that it maximised space and was easier to soundproof, all the fixings I did were with self tappers so I could get a really solid non squeaking job done, plus I doubt it will be ever remove when I sell it as its a good base for anyone to do with whatever they want to use the vehicle for. I'm not telling anyone how to do it but I do know that whatever adhesives you use they will after time let you down, because we have so many differences in our temperatures. Good luck

i covered some ply in vehicle carpet and then pushed them in behind and around the trim for the sides. Cheers

Do you gain much space taking off the trims?
I was thinking of putting some thin foam behind the ply to stop the trim being damaged and to add a bit of soundproofing.... |

When I did mine, I made it so most of it was fixed to itself. An only top of the side sheets is screwed th the trim with very small self tappers + stuffed bubble wrap behind it all to adsorb vibration and sound. Series IIa Lightweight - Long Gone
