I don't know of anybody that makes one specifically, but isn't it essentially just a rectangle that would be easy to cut to size?

Regardless, I'm pretty sure it's not Puma specific. The design probably hasn't changed significantly since around 1958. Darren

The basic plate tends to be the same - what changes is the cut outs for hinges, wiper motors, cables etc on the doors - however for a drop down tailgate I don't see an issue.

Even for a door I would expect a late TD5 to be the same as a Puma (could be wrong though) John

Just thought I'd resurrect this thread.

I'm having similar issues and wondered if anyone had solved the problem with a commercially available solution?

I was thinking about an armourfend type solution as I think the issue with a piece of flat aluminium plate is that the surface is not truely flat but has a raised series of loops to aid sliding boxes and such in and out of the back.

I have this on mine:

It is not just a flat rectangle, but is also bent over the top surface. I stand on this with the tailgate closed when accessing the roof rack. It was already on the vehicle when I bought it, but it has a plate from N&J :

Thanks - seen the covers from N&J; however if they aren't routed on the back side then they can't truely fit flush to the surface. However, that might be a little OCD and once bolted down gaps may not be apparent.
certainly a foam type gasket would help this.

In the end, I have fitted some 50mm wide helicopter tape to the top edge.
