1. Your thread is an inspiration for those favouring the traditional look. 2. That keyring looks exactly like this one, priced at a mere £69.95! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162040096333?_tr...EBIDX%3AIT Current Steeds: 2015 110 UW in Grasmere Green 2003 BMW F650 the Hack 2000 Elise 1992 Ducati 888 (no longer in bits, yahoo) 1990 TDR 250 (in bits again) 1988 TDR 250 (no longer in bits) and for sale |

Steve, what a lovely Defender, we have similar taste, I have the small Defender Badge above the grille too.
But, I just gotta say, I would prefer the number plate to be flush on the front bumper!! Regards, Pickles. |

Thanks Pickles - have always really liked yours too! Silver with Keswick looks good and is definitely a bit different. I like it!
Fair comment re the number plate - it was just really bugging me how it was deeper than the bumper so thought I'd try something different and in keeping with the retro look. I considered getting a slightly smaller front plate but decided to keep things legal... I have finally finished fitting the Mantec steering guard - bit of a faff with poor instructions but got there in the end: Click image to enlarge Need to make some enquiries about getting a few bits galvanised including the bumper and mudflap brackets - any recommendations in the Essex or Warwickshire areas? |

Thanks Profyaffle - same could be said about your lovely 'Alan' (brilliant name by the way!). Just been admiring all the nice little detail touches you've made. Top job!

Looking great Steve Keswick... !! Where did you get those lovely retro light surrounds and the grill from please? After my latest issues with mine, I am looking to change. Cheers, Pete P.S Agree, a 3/4 size front plate would be far too small as well... YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Hi Pete,
Ah, another Keswick fan! Love your 90 - a very similar look! The headlight surrounds are made by Entreq: http://www.entreq.de/expedition-gear/zubeh...ender.html The grille was a 'New Old Stock' Stage 1 V8 grille that I picked up on eBay a while ago (details in earlier pages of this thread). I think they're now available from Pegasus: http://www.pegasusparts.co.uk/ourshop_9007...09-V8.html This was my take on what a Heritage edition should be before LR copied! |

Aaahh, questions, questions. I quite like those recovery points in the front bumper,...did you make them or are they a buyable item? Pickles. |

Hi Pickles, it's a whole new bumper from Devon 4x4. Much thicker than the standard item, with the recovery points welded to it.

More questions Steve.... I'm changing my wing vents shortly, did you buy the stainless fixings as a complete kit for all grilles?

Afraid I didn't - I just bought a pack of stainless No.8 x 25mm security torx head fixings off ebay (they came with the correct screwdriver bit). Was only £3.75 for a pack of 25.
Not sure if the side vent ones are the same size or not... |

Thanks Steve... Although my favourite Landy is a 90 I could be tempted by a bigger one after seeing pictures of yours... 1993 200Tdi Defender 90 |
