Its not the bonnet but a plastic cover on the engine that distinguishes the 2.2 from the 2.4 in terms of accoustic embellishments. From what owners have said, however, the 2.2 is quieter anyway - plastic cover or not.

Think Dgardel was looking at fitting a 2.2 cover on his 2.4. Believe quite a bit of butchery is involved. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

and the various holes in the bulkhead where pipes and wires go through to the inside are sealed better in the 2.2
