Soundproofing - New Black Dynamat in my 110 Puma XS CSW
Hi all,

I ordered the following from 'SGH' (Simon) on the forum :-

2 x DYNAMAT XTREME BULK PACK 9 x 457 x 812mm SHEETS
(Use on floors, inside doors, under bonnet, roof, seat box, bulkhead)

1 x DYNAMAT XTREME MEGA PACK 9 x 609 x 1219mm SHEETS
(Use on floors, inside doors, under bonnet, roof, seat box, bulkhead)

3 x DYNAMAT TAPE 38 X 9100mm ROLL
(Use to tape joints and to tape down wiring etc)

Last weekend I stripped out the second and third row seats on my 110 CSW to fit it.

Here's a few pictures:-

Next job is the roof, then the floors and doors. Will post more pictures when as I go. Cheers,

Are you noticing a difference having done just the floor or are you doing the whole lot before driving it?

I am looking to do some on my TD5 110 XS but can't afford the whole hog at once so I am interested in what makes the biggest improvements. 2005 110 TD5 XS running Alive Stage 1 and a bit and other toys

For me, the rear wheelarches made the biggest difference - especially when the roads are wet... Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

Me too, but I reckon Dynamat for the floors interior and Flashband coupled with closed cell foam for the roof.

Should cut cost and work

Kev,

Only been out in it once since doing the rear and it does make a difference. I have a rubber mat on top of the carpets in the rear just as it was before fitting the Dynamat. Road noise is noticeably reduced (dry weather so far). I can even hear my UJ on the rear axle on it's way out (I guess thats a benefit Big Cry ) Second row seats floor next along with the front seat box and floor. Roof/Doors after that. Out of the DYNAMAT XTREME MEGA PACK 9 x 609 x 1219mm SHEETS, I've still got 5 left Very Happy Cheers,

The one circled on the left is a rubber blanking plate/bung, the one on the right is a plastic clip that holds the seat belt in place. Can't help with the part numbers at the moment I'm afraid though.
