Did the below last week, finished the bottom off by visiting a local carpet dealer who loves carpet and buying a similar coloured rubber backed cut into strips and pushed into place.

Drove down to the Royal Albert Hall with Mrs S to see Roger Hodgson (Supertramp). Recently remapped 2.4 was great fun in the traffic and down/up the A1. Roger Hodgson was brilliant too Cheers,

As it is warm and dry I go the paint out......
Decided to give all my stainless hinges and bulkhead brackets a coat of satin black. They look much better than the raw stainless. That completes the whole black and green look now. As it was a dry day I took the headlining out and dynamatted the roof with Xtreme and 1/2 dynaliner acquired from SGH of MPS Trading - thanks for all the advice and efficient delivery
A quick drive down the local by-pass and it seems to have made a difference. I'll take it on a longer run later this week. BM52 |

Filled up with BP Ultimate, then washed it, mainly to take 2 weeks of dust off. First high pressure lance washed spots our new local super duper car wash does not fully cover well (mostly the chassis), then put it in the car wash with polish to complete. Thoroughly towel dried it, finished with putting copious amount of WD-40 inside the two towing pack plugs (12N + 12S), a trickle WD-40 into all door hinges, in the radio antenna, and another non greasy moisture repellant into the rear door lock and the driver door lock. Wiped off any excesses, and voilą, ready to be taken to Autobritt, our local LR dealer, tomorrow morning for replacing the left side head light level motor (under warranty) which makes noises, but does not move the head lamp at all...... Til then, she remains under open cover as below
