I know it's not the heat shield, I've repaired that allready. The rattle is there only on roughish roads and whilst moving. It's not the brakepads, still rattles under light and heavy braking. I've replaced the suspension bushes, new shock absorbers, nothing seems to be falling off so in the words of Toyah; it's a mystery!

Fitted a new bilstein steering damper hoping it tames the steering a bit!!
Next on the list would be a steering box so thought I would try the cheaper option first. I've also got an intermittent rattle, very annoying, seems to be behind the dash on the l/h side so might be the wiper motor, but very difficult to pin point when driving. 1997 Ex-MOD 110, Pop Top Camper, build thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72352.html 2014 Discovery 4 SE Tech Instagram @the110camper |

Could be the bonnet hinge, mine did that and i would swear it was coming from inside but it was the hinge. i wrapped the bush with a little tape which got rid of the noise, i will be ordering some heavy duty hinges soon. Pete. |

![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() ![]() ![]() anyway, what software are you running on that screen? I use google maps on my xda flint for navigation but wouldn't mind looking at a better alternative. I don't want a voice telling when to turn left or when to indicate etc, just a good map. are you running that screen from the Toughbook? |
