Funny you ask that I was also thinking I should get a decent camera after BPMans advert for one. I just use a cheapo Canon Ixus pocket jobby Sad I used to really be into photography when I was a kid as well, won a few competitions and made the family bathroom into a dark room developing 35mm film. Pentax K1000/P30 stuff. My parents wanted me to do it as a vocation but I went for farm management instead! Wish I'd got into nudes now Laughing

I am literally out of the picture these days as to what is reasonably priced kit e.g. £3-400 I'm a brand boy so Canon or Nikon Whistle I like the small cameras now for ease of use when kayaking, sailing, walking but maybe going back to the old SLR size wouldn't be a problem and use a small one for the adventurous situations Wink

EDIT -apologies you were asking Ngarigo, Embarassed

Fair play Musketeer, I wish I had some stalking near me. Barely seem to have time to do any form of shooting these days - must try harder! Thumbs Up

To be honest I am ridicules lucky to have access to some fantastically varied stalking without going a great distance. Hill reds to rival the highlands, roe in the woods, fallow in the fields and some Sika not that far away either. I just wish there was less public access, it's the one issue!

Make time! If you don't you'll never get it.

Sam

I know I should Sam, just seem to be having to work all the time just to keep on top of todays living costs grrr.. (plus the occasional LR part! Mr. Green )

De-cat this week so something to look forward too!

First MUD!
Went Green Laning with the BHCLRC round Hertfordshire to give my 110 its first real First MUD.

Most of the day was spent trundling round nice gentle lanes and the odd ford from tiddlers right up to the impressive and unexpectedly full Violets Lane at Furneux Pelham. Thank god for the snorkel as we ended up with 3" tide marks up the carpet in the footwells Very Happy

The wife really enjoyed it as her first Laning expedition.

Here we are at the lunch stop where a couple of the groups met up half way

Here is some video of us going through the shallows prior to me taking over, good job too as the next hole was the deepest of the lane!

Went for hay.

managed 12.1l/100km or 23.5 mpg on the way back with 1200kg loaded. Not bad, considering the "mountains".

Took my 110 to Stratstone Aylesbury for some warranty work, came home in a Freelander 2! I did feel strange! And I can't find where I plug in my iPOD either.
