Zag, just up the road Chester...Iv'e known about this lane for sometime but never drove it and as i was up there thought i'll give it a go.... what a big mistake i got half way up and all the time thinking i should not be here on my own Whistle the truck was just getting deeper and deeper to the point i could not go forward or backwards Big Cry
got out looked in the back for the winch remote...NOT there Shocked..in the end i got loads of branches under the wheels and just nailed it backwards till i got to the road...never again will i go off road on me own.... lesson learnt NEVER TAKE LIFE SERIOUSLY. NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE ANYWAY

fekete, should have took pics while you were there! Been in that situation once myself too never again! Only I don't have a winch had Grabbers on at the time no one else around and also technically shouldn't have been where I was either thanks to some un-helpful locals shall we say Whistle

Its quite scary when your in that situation.....it was sat on its axles wheels spinning Shocked 4.30 and getting dark
no one anywhere... it was a case if i don't get out now i'll have to find a farmer with a tractor....i didn't want to leave the truck tho ....i was panicking and thinking you F---ing nob...glad to get out and back on tarmac Embarassed
Next time i'm up there i'll walk it and take some pics NEVER TAKE LIFE SERIOUSLY. NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE ANYWAY

Worked on a farm when I was 14. Used to get stuck every now and then in a tractor when towing a heavy trailer, could take a while to walk back and get help and pull another tractor from it's duties to get pulled out... Boss not to happy Whistle Great fun though when your that age rotavating fields, ploughing....badly Whistle and muck spreading Twisted Evil Dead piglets were best, they would come out with a thump and fly right up in the air Shocked

Did the same in an old Skoda, had to pull the choke out so the engine would rev enough to drive the spinning wheels, run to the back to push then jump in before it drove off on it's own.....as you say you learn the hard way Rolling Eyes

Moving house as well Tack Shocked

Fitted the ole mans present today Very Happy Exmoor Trims rear seat cover set to match Lorrymans front covers. Much better quality than I expected, fit well and should last years, they are pretty thick! Very Happy
