Waxoyled the third Land Rover of the Autumn today, simply because it remains so warm here in Essex and it seems a shame not to use the weather for something that needs a bit of warmth.
I now have Waxoyl-on-the-lung symptoms, despite wearing a respirator - but at least I won't rust this Winter.. |

Took the other half out to Bolton Abbey for the day, itโs a long time since I had been and had forgotten how stunning it is. As a bonus the Defender behaved itself with no engine management light coming on after stopping and then restarting

Returned the defender back to the main dealers as the engine management light came on and after a diagnostic check the EGR is on its way out, oh you have to love extended warranty hope to pick it up on Saturday. 2015 HT XS 90

Minor Dinitrol top ups going on this week for me, mainly on accessories rather than chassis.
The latter will need following up next year.

MOT passed, no advisories!
Given the fortune I spend on basic TLC and servicing every 6000 miles, why am I surprised? |

Good news. I wonder how much work hour values combined it would be for all of us in maintenece charges if paid in time.
Probably earn enough to qualify for a Coutts account. I've spent more time under mine this year I think than driving it.

Valuation of a small chalet in one of the more isolated parts of the Chamonix Valley. Lovely spot called Le Planet.

How do you put up with your job, Monsieur Le Grenadier?
That looks stunning. And the view is quite nice as well |

Honestly Rashers, it's the views, seeing nice chalets and driving the DCPU (thank you for the compliment) that makes the job bareable. But being an estate agent isn't what I'd like to be doing, it's a means to an end, no more. But I suppose many of us have the same issue. Sorry, must dash, I can hear a small violin playing... Picked up the Defender from main dealer, new EGR fitted, no costs to pay due to having extended warranty
Ready early, washed and vacuumed out. Thankyou very much Roger Youngโs Rosco have you found out why your engine management light came on? That was the first indication my EGR has failed. 2015 HT XS 90 2008 SVX 90 2000 XS TD5 90 |

Not yet. It's been running/driving ok if kept under 2500rpm.
Taking it to my mates back street garage tomorrow to read the fault codes. Hopefully something simple 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |

Bear in mind if you get EGR and MAF faults don't replace both, often the failed EGR will cause the MAF to throw up phantom DTC's and does not need changing only clearing.
The other day I found the fuel tank breather on mine split. (It needs re-locating) but I've repaired it just for now but ultimately needs completely replacing shortly. In fact both breathers do. Was going to re-locate it today as well but the plastic access plate screws were a so left that job till another day just for now. Couple of pics.... although nothing exciting to see.. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Does anyone know the P/N's for the washers, screws and threaded panel clips they go into? Maybe easier to just take the heads off as I'm sure they may try and round out but will try again first. Might replace with SS if anyone knows the sizes. Looks like an M3.5 or M4.
